people are like tables
allow me to explain
Today, I spent all day helping a friend build tables. We cut the wood, screwed the prices together, and overall it was a long and tedious task. We made 8 tables and 16 benches, which is no easy task when you have to assemble each by hand (and DeWalt drills).
Now to my point: people are like tables. If you think about it, we all are built up throughout our life. We have memories, people, and other things that all contribute to our table. Today, we made a slightly wobbly bench. We were able to fix it, but it struck me in that moment, that we too can be wobbly. If we don’t get built up carefully and with strong materials, our table will be unsteady. Our table could break under too much pressure. Our table could be unstable and not preform as well as it could.
We need to make sure that the materials we use to build our table are strong and sturdy, and that we pay close attention to them. Like I mentioned in my article yesterday, the things we consume in life are all impacting our lives. Consider those the pieces of wood- the material things. The people we choose to associate with are also important, they hold us together and help contribute to our sense of self- consider those the screws.

I’m glad to know there was something deeper behind your years of comparing your self to tables😂 Next, you should write “People are Like Nuclear Power Plants”. I feel like that has a nice ring to it…
